Excerpts from the Book
These are just a few page excerpts from the book to give you a taste.
The Grizzard is a wonderful sight
As he soars on high o’er the Isle of Wight
As he soars on high o’er the Isle of Wight
His wings are so big that
they block out the sun
And he is far from the reach
of an earthly gun.
The Grizzard is toothless with rubbery lips
His mouth has great suction but cannot give nips.
His mouth has great suction but cannot give nips.
His nose is all runny with sticky red slime
He’s not got a cold, he’s just in his prime.
He’s not very friendly and his age is unknown,
He has been here for eons and is always alone.
Does he have babies, and a mummy and dad?
It doesn’t seem likely and is all very sad.
The cry of the Grizzard is a very loud rattle
From twenty miles up it sounds like a battle.
From twenty miles up it sounds like a battle.
Buildings have fallen and earthquakes erupted
And the livers and spleens of humans disrupted.
The only voice louder is the Man in the Moon
Who watches his Grizzard from nightfall to noon.
